SALON DES VINS DES VIGNERONS INDÉPENDANTS
Independent Wine Show for all of you non-french speaking individuals...I tease since I used my rusty french all week! LOL
I, Judy, was invited to the expo via my sister-in-law Diane and her husband Dave.
They are extreme wine enthusiasts and were encouraging my need to find a "region" of wine that I liked.
It is wine...so I was game!
We tasted, we evaluated dry, reds, whites, different grape varieties, something called tannins, sweets, fruitful, interesting and some quite disgusting...Obviously, DO NOT SWALLOW every sample! (useful info on numerous topics!)
It was really a blast! It is difficult to show how much fun it is while retaining a distinguished attitude in the expo, but I believe any wine lover would enjoy this type of event.
I give you all the photos of our trip and give 5 STARS to my travel buddies Dave & Diane for their hospitality and the AWESOME food they prepared! Thank you
BTW: Diane could go into wine expo knitting business selling her wine glass neck holders! Many...MANY people asked for a pattern or where we puchased ours.
You can see them in one of the photos and as she nicely doubles up wearing hers and Dave's in one pic!
We had an amazing time together.
If ever in Strasbourg, France, Please visit our friend Vincent at a restaurant called L'Absinthe and DO try the absinthe...and any of the food, quite delicious!
